Hi Fran. Try changing your View Options to Fit to Window. If that doesn’t work, try other View Options.

Question: Will students see the 4 labels when registering? They do not necessarily capture the pedagogy. Remote synchronous may sound like 3 hour zoom sessions when it will most likely be a mix of asynchronous work supporting shorter zoom synchronous sessions.

International resident students on visa are / have been limited to how many 'online' courses they may take, do these four categories of delivery all count as 'resident' instruction for this visa purpose

Zoom has security issues, and has up restrictions based on geography (China) to address local laws. What would we do for students accessing remotely from restricted locations?

The memo from Kathy Bieschke (shared last week) stated: “Because the virus is spread through droplets, students should be encouraged to face the same direction and limit talking directly toward one another. We recognize this runs counter to what we know about the value of encouraging student-to-student engagement during class. Instructors will be provided guidance on various electronic tools to encourage engagement during class or shift engagement to online work outside of class.” Will students in f2f classes be expected to face the same direction? How would this work in a class that is supposed to be based on discussion and interaction (e.g., graduate seminar)?

Would either of the following be a possibility at this point if the mixed option is chosen? a) switching a class currently scheduled for 3 hours at a time to instead meet twice per week? b) to split up a 3 hour class into two 80/90-minute sessions (given needs for cleaning in between class meetings)

If a faculty member wants to teach a tuesday class synchronously-remote and a thursday class Asynchronous-remote, what code should they use? Both? or just synchronous remote?

Can I survey students to get there preferences as I consider options?

Are there any considerations for teaching outside? For example, a trip to the arboretum or the alumni garden to investigate insects and plants.

I joined late but would like the answer to this: When will we know what classroom will be used for our classes? The planning is much different if I need to split the 20-ember class into 2. If you have already addressed this, can I talk with somebody later about it?
